Welcome to the Dome in Buxton, one of the most dramatic spaces in Great Britain and the largest unsupported dome in Europe. Built in 1779 by the 5th Duke of Devonshire, the Dome has dominated the sky line of Buxton ever since. A stunning example of heritage regeneration and a grade II* listed landmark the Devonshire Dome is now home to the University of Derby and Buxton College and boasts a busy restaurant, relaxed cafe quarter, modern hair and beauty salons and a wonderful spa. It also plays host to some of the county's premier events and banquets. The Dome is licensed for civil weddings.
